The bits and pieces on Mother 3 keep on coming. Following a sampling of the game's theme song and the first ever screenshots, series mastermind Shigesato Itoi has revealed a huge surprise via the game's official website.

In addition to the basic Mother 3 Game Boy Advance game, Nintendo plans on on releasing a deluxe package that bundles the game with a special Game Boy Micro and a bonus badge. The Mother 3 Deluxe Box will be released to Japanese retailers opposite the game itself on 4/20, at a price of 18,000 yen.

The Deluxe Box is limited to pre-order only, but those who pre-order it at participating retaliers in Japan will be assured of getting one. US based Mother 3 fans should check with their favorite import shops for details.

In addition to this news, the Mother 3 site is now home to new screenshots, which we've uploaded here. Sadly, the site has yet to reveal gameplay details, but IGN has heard that specifics will begin emerging within the next three weeks.
