I tried adding some sort of shading. I think it works? I am not sure.

I have always been quite terrible at any kind of art, but for some reason, I decided to give it another shot yesterday, here is the result:

I drew a few of my partners as well. I tried to, at least. My very first one came out quite badly, but by the third one, I had gotten the hang of it at least somewhat.

I used LibreSprite for this! I want to try making a few more in the coming days. I have a lot of trouble with perspective and shading, so I am mostly just trying to do these simple profile shots for now.

Well, I tried drawing some more and this time I tried drawing my headmate Anubis:

I have had a lot more trouble with the ears than I’d like to admit. Ears, horns and crests in general have been very hard for me, I just cannot get the shapes right at all. With His ears, I had to redo them probably a dozen or so times.

For the fur, I added a few grey speckles here and there. The ear rings (the three coloured rings and the ankh) I made on a free part of the canvas and then moved them to the ear one by one.

I really need to learn how to do some other expressions! And get better at shading and texture.

We watched The Mummy from 1999 yesterday and it was a very enjoyable movie. I watched it together with one of my partners and my headmate Anubis. He enjoyed the movie a lot and has been wanting us to start learning some Ancient Egyptian again since it has been a long while.
