This is generally my least favorite time of year. I’m a summer guy, and the combination of less sunlight, an early sunset, and wild temperature swings really wrecks my mood.

But I am feeling surprising good right now.

For most of the summer, I was busy with three big consulting projects. Things have slowed down to a more manageable pace, and I’m appreciating the break. The work I am doing is server-rendered HTML, CSS, and Web Components, which is my happy place.

I’m also actively trying to get a community fridge established in my town.

I had a lot of inertia starting out, but have run into a lot of roadblocks: people locked into a charity mindset, political nonsense, and so on. We’ll get there, I hope!

I’m excited that Christmas season is right around the corner.
