Course Description
Harness the revolutionary potential of modern artificial intelligence to cure human disease. Generative AI for Biomedicine offers a practice-oriented exploration into how cutting-edge generative models are transforming therapeutic discovery, target identification, and precision medicine. Throughout this course, you will apply frontier AI architectures—including transformers, VAEs, continuous diffusion, flow matching, graph neural networks, and biological foundation models (e.g., AlphaFold)—to tackle the most pressing challenges in human health. You will learn to design de novo small-molecule drugs, targeted antibodies, and enzymes; characterize genome functions and interactions; develop mRNA therapeutics; and map cellular disease mechanisms at single-cell resolution. By the end of the course, you will gain both the theoretical understanding and hands-on skills needed to engineer AI-driven solutions to complex biomedical challenges.
