About frePPLe



History

What started as an open source hobby project over 17 years ago has grown into a mature software product. This positions Frepple as the top open-source APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) planning software.

Over the years, frepple has built a worldwide track record across many industries. Companies use the software to solve diverse forecasting, inventory, and production planning challenges.

Team

Johan De Taeye

Founder, located in Belgium

Johan is an engineer at heart. He worked 10 years for i2 Technologies (now Blue Yonder), then another 10 years optimizing supply chain planning for his clients (Dassault, Nokia, ST Microelectronics, etc.). He founded frePPLe in 2011 to answer the need for better planning tools with fast deployment.

Hicham Lahlou

Managing Partner, located in France

Hicham is a supply chain expert specialized in forecasting, spare parts optimization, and material & capacity-constrained planning for the telecom and aerospace & defense industries. Having worked 15 years as a consultant, he joined frePPLe as a partner in 2016.

Joao Ranita

Senior developer, located in Belgium

João is a multi-disciplinary Chemical Engineer. Adding years of University R&D and years of consultancy as software developer for clients like the European Commission and European Parliament. He is also a firm believer in Open Source software.
