Bespoke van conversions from Berlin — for people and vehicles that don't fit the standard mold.

Van conversions from a small workshop

Feincamper is a small camper conversion workshop right on the Berlin city limits – intentionally a one-person operation, because this is the best way to realize truly individual projects. If you have your van converted here, this comes with many advantages:

  • Single point of contact from the first drafts to the final screw
  • Full focus on the current project
  • Consistently high quality
  • No predefined furniture modules and no fixed style, but complete design freedom
  • Freedom to choose from a wide range of materials and components

Examples of my work

The right base vehicle

I convert all common panel vans, independently of any manufacturer – from the Mercedes Sprinter and Ford Transit to the Fiat Ducato and more. But special base vehicles such as a historic Mercedes T2 fire truck or a small VW T3 have also been part of the mix.

If you haven't settled on a vehicle yet, we can figure out together which base vehicle fits your plans best.

How I work

When designing your conversion, you are not limited to a particular style or a fixed palette of materials. I work independently of manufacturers with sheet materials, solid wood, veneers, laminates, linoleum, cork, felts, fabrics and more. The result is an interior that matches your ideas both visually and functionally.

I am also not tied to specific components when it comes to the technical systems. Electrics, water supply and heating can therefore be tailored to your travel habits and the available space.

For fabrication, I combine traditional cabinetmaking with CAD planning, CNC milling and 3D printing. This allows one-off components and special details to be produced precisely and efficiently.

How your bespoke conversion takes shape

At Feincamper, bespoke conversions take shape step by step through close collaboration: Together, we turn your ideas and requirements into a coherent layout, select materials and technical systems, and clarify costs and scheduling. You remain involved throughout the build – all the way to final acceptance and a detailed handover of the finished vehicle.

What's the cost of a bespoke van conversion?

The budget for a bespoke van conversion usually falls into the range of €70,000 to €100,000 (including VAT, excluding the base vehicle).

Having a van converted individually is a significant investment, and the exact cost depends on many factors such as vehicle size, off-grid autonomy, and materials. You can find out how the costs break down on the page What does a camper conversion cost? To discuss the budget for your project, book a non-binding consultation appointment or send me the details of your project using the conversion questionnaire.

Heiko from Berlin

We've just returned from our first three-week tour of Sweden. Florian converted our Peugeot Boxer into a luxurious holiday home on wheels. Within 5.5 meters of vehicle length, he pulled off the feat of realizing all of our crazy wishes. We love our camper!

Frequently asked questions

What does it cost to have a camper professionally converted?

The cost of a bespoke camper conversion at Feincamper usually falls between €70,000 and €100,000 – including VAT, excluding the base vehicle. The exact cost depends on many factors – for example vehicle size, off-grid autonomy, and materials. More on the page What does a camper conversion cost? We can discuss the budget for your project in a non-binding consultation.

Which base vehicles does Feincamper convert?

You can have any common panel van converted at Feincamper – for example a Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, or Fiat Ducato. I work independently of any manufacturer, and special vehicles are welcome too.

Where does the camper conversion take place?

In my workshop in Kleinmachnow (Brandenburg), right on the Berlin city limits. That doesn't mean you have to be on site, though: communication during planning and throughout the build works well remotely, too.

How does a bespoke camper conversion work?

First, we develop a concept based on your requirements and travel plans. The concept is then worked out step by step in 3D, with all questions and decisions clarified in close collaboration. Once the planning is complete, work on the vehicle begins. During the build phase we stay in close contact, and you regularly receive photos and videos of the progress. At the end, there is usually the TÜV inspection and a detailed handover of the vehicle to you.

How long does a bespoke camper conversion take?

That's hard to answer in general terms. Most projects take about 4–6 months in the build phase, plus planning. At Feincamper, only one vehicle is built at a time – with full concentration on your project. When the next build slot opens up and how long to plan for your conversion are best discussed in a non-binding consultation.

Do you also take on partial work or repairs?

No, Feincamper only crafts complete bespoke van conversions.
