Now
So, where do I even start? This year might be one for the record books because right after my car broke down and I got a new one, I immediately proceeded to get hit by a car afterward. I broke a ton of bones and am in the process of recovering and going to PT so I can resume normal life again. Apparently it takes about 3 months before bones heal and you can do normal things so shoutout to Mr. Jeep that decided to ruin my entire summer.
Can’t lift and ride bikes or in general enjoy much physical activity while slightly disabled, the latter of which super sucks because of the fact that it is summer. On the positive side, I’m also on leave for work.
A Need To Organize My Thoughts
Feel like one of the reasons I felt so overwhelmed and burnt out prior to getting injured was that I didn’t really have a central or organized place for my personal thoughts or my technical knowledge at work.
Going to write things down more to find a place to record my thoughts and have a chance to organize or reflect on them.
Semipermanent States of Existence
If I’m not doing anything above, you can assume I’m trying to adhere to these much more general statements.
- Trying to not take on too many things at once and drop them, as well as balance my technical interests and “have a life” (mainly staying active and having non-negligible social interaction) - I fear this may be a permanent state of existence, but I also worry for the day where it isn’t because I have ended up with neither
- Trying to share things to be interesting but not be overly personal, weird, stupid, or have my information used against me - I also fear this may be a permanent state of existence
- Trying to find people that I can consistently enjoy spending time with; consistently as in both being able to regularly spend time with them and generally enjoy my experiences when I am with them via being in alignment with each other
- Alternatively, I could just hermit mode and vanish at an arbitrary old age
Not Now
Need to start and then finish the M66 swap for my old Volvo S60R to spite the people who think I can’t do it.
