Doda is a Polish singer, songwriter, producer, actress, and television personality. She is a three-time winner of the MTV Europe Music Award, and is one of the most successful Polish artists in terms of awards won. She has received numerous certificates from the Polish Phonographic Industry Association, for sales of her albums and singles in Poland. Her best known songs include “Nie daj się,” “Dżaga,” “Szansa,” “Znak pokoju,” “2 bajki,” “Fake Love,” “Melodia ta,” and the chart-topping and Diamond-certified single “Nim zajdzie słońce,” with Smolasty. Doda rose to fame as a member of Polish rock band Virgin. She is also known as Doda Elektroda, Dorota Rabczewska-Stępień, and Dorota Aqualiteja Rabczewska.

She is the daughter of Wanda Rabczewska, a civil servant, and Paweł Rabczewski, who was born in Vilnius, in the Lithuanian SSR, and was an Olympic weightlifter.

Doda’s paternal grandfather was Leon Rabczewski (the son of Konstanty Rabczewski and Ksenia Lesunow). Leon was born in Novosibirsk, Russia.

Doda’s paternal grandmother was Jadwiga Wołk/Wołkówna (the daughter of Jan Wołk and Helena Narkiewicz). Jadwiga was born in Vilnius, Lithuania. In an interview, Doda stated that her paternal grandmother was of half Lithuanian descent.

Doda’s maternal grandfather was surnamed Bastecki.
