incorrect cite
[edit]There is a cite for 2 Kings 11:33 ... 2 Kings 11 has only 20 lines. --Mannanan51 (talk) 01:25, 10 July 2011 (UTC)mannanan51
- This seems to have been resolved. IOHANNVSVERVS (talk) 23:18, 7 February 2026 (UTC)
Umomium?
[edit][Apart from Damascus,] Other cities of Aram-Damascus have not been positively identified from textual sources Then what is "Umomium" on the map? --92.214.172.206 (talk) 17:31, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
- A good question. I don't know. An earlier version of the same map spells it Urmomium, which is an equal mystery. The location on the map suggests Capitolias but that article doesn't mention a connection to "Urmomium"?
- it quite clearly is a pun. Your mom ium. 89.24.226.192 (talk) 14:54, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
- See below. The map was a nice try for 2010, but it's untenable by now. Arminden (talk) 19:03, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
The map is a bad joke, needs to be removed
[edit]It has already been removed from Edom and the History of Palestine. Elsewhere it's still in use, but just. It has also been criticised elsewhere - and for many years now; we should centralise the issue, and the Edom talk-page would be as good a place as any. An overview of the discussions, with Edom first:
- Talk:Edom#:Territory: historical evolution; map deeply flawed
- File talk:Kingdoms of Israel and Judah map 830.svg
- Talk:Moab#MAP is so bad
- Talk:History of Palestine#Map of the Levant 830 BCE

- This map does seem to have issues, primarily that it appears to not be based on a reliable source. It's cited only to this source https://jewishvirtuallibrary.org/map-of-israel-and-judah-733-bce which doesn't match. @ADeeperUnderstanding, who restored this map after it was removed recently. IOHANNVSVERVS (talk) 01:15, 7 February 2026 (UTC)
- JVL is not a reliable source at all. --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 02:07, 7 February 2026 (UTC)
- I removed the map and also another unsourced map. IOHANNVSVERVS (talk) 02:57, 7 February 2026 (UTC)
