For many years the identity of the pitcher who appeared for the Philadelphia Quakers on October 9, 1884 was wrongly attributed to Joe “Cyclone” Miller. In 2026, newspaper accounts and an obituary were used to identify the pitcher as Harry Miller and confirm that he had pitched in the National League.
