The Parish of Embleton & District is a civil parish with an elected Parish Council situated within the Cumberland Council (former Allerdale) area of Cumbria. The entire parish lies within the Lake District National Park. Following a Community Governance Review concluded in January 2019 Embleton & District Parish Council became a non-warded parish including the communities of Embleton, Wythop & Setmurthy.
Reporting Problems on the roads
If you are wanting to report issues on the roads this can all be done by you as a member of the public. Many of the issues that are regularly raised with the Parish Council are actually better reported by individuals, as one report from the Parish Council counts as just that 1 report, where as if a number of individuals report the same issue they count as multiple reports.
Potholes/drains/white lines/street lights issues etc can all be reported via: https://www.cumberland.gov.uk/parking-roads-and-transport/streets-roads-and-pavements/road-maintenance-closures-and-improvements/report-problem-street-or-road
Inconsiderate parking/parking on double yellow lines etc should be reported via the above link and also reported to https://www.news.cumbria.police.uk/report-it/reportacrime

Parish Council Elections
Every four years all Parish Councillors must go through an election process. The next cycle is on the 4th May 2023.
