Information we collect

We currently collect and process the following personal information:

• Personal identifiers, such as your name, email address, and other contact information
• Financial information, such as payment details, billing address, or shipping address

We also collect and aggregate some non-personal analytics information, such as the country from which visitors access this site or the browser they use; we do not and cannot use this information to identify individual visitors.

How we collect and use information

Most of the information we collect and use, or process, is provided directly by you to:

• Subscribe to a newsletter
• Request information
• Buy a product or service

Some information may be provided indirectly by your browser or email client, such as confirmation of email receipt.

We use personal information to:

• Send periodic emails, with articles, announcements, questions, or products or services that you might be interested in
• Contact customers about orders, purchases, billing, and invoices
• Find trends in interest in the content, products, and services that we provide and make decisions about what content, products and services to improve or create in the future
• Show or hide information on the site that is relevant to specific visitors, such as hiding a newsletter sign up form after you’ve already signed up
• Respond to inquiries, questions, and other requests

We use the following services and may share information with them:

• For sending email newsletters, we use ConvertKit. See ConvertKit’s Privacy Policy for more information on how ConvertKit handles personal information.
• For aggregate site analytics, we use Plausible. See Plausible’s data policy for more information on how Plausible handles personal information.
• For individual email and documents, we use Google Workspace. See Google’s Privacy & Terms for more information on how Google handles personal information.
• For invoices and credit memos, we use Moneybird. See Moneybird’s Privacyverklaring for more information on how Moneybird handles personal information.
• For bookkeeping and tax preparation, we use UWBS Financial Services.

We do not and will not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

Unless compelled to do so (for example, by court order, subpoena, or warrant), we do not and will not provide any information to law enforcement. Defund the police and abolish ICE.

Under data protection law, the basis for processing personal information is your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time. You can do this by emailing at the address at the beginning of this page.

How we store data

We store data with the services described previously. We choose services that use encryption and other practices that limit the likelihood that your personal information will be improperly accessed or distributed. See their privacy policies for more information.

We keep your information as long as necessary to provide you with products or services or as long as you’re subscribed to our periodic emails. We will also retain and use your information as necessary to carry out this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or protect our legal rights.

When your data is no longer required, we will delete it from our service providers, using the mechanisms they provide. See their privacy policies, linked from the previous section, for more information.

Your rights

Under data protection law, you have many rights, which may be exercised under certain circumstances, such as the right to ask for the deletion of your information. You’re entitled to exercise your rights, free of charge.

If you make such a request, we will respond within one month.
