each element in lhs has equivalent element in rhs at the same position. Only in one direction? Does it mean that empty map equals to any other map?

That sentence begins with "lhs.size() == rhs.size() and ", so no, an empty map only equals another empty map. --Cubbi 06:33, 5 April 2013 (PDT)
