John F. White,
a British multiple author 1, computer consultant and programmer. Fascinated by the later Roman Empire, especially Aurelian's achievements, he researched and wrote his own account 2. He is co-programmer of the popular computer Latin translator Blitz Latin 3 and programmer of Frankfurt Goethe University's inscription search engine 4. He lives in Wokingham, England 5.

As former chess programmer John F. White wrote a series of chess programs in the 80s, called by the generic name Querg, all implemented in 6502 assembly to run on an 64K Atari 130XE 6. In his second ICCA Journal article he describes how to store and retrieve moves of an opening book 7.
