Daisuke Takahashi,
a Japanese mathematician, computer scientist and associate professor at Center for Computational Sciences, University of Tsukuba. His research interests include massively parallel and SIMD computing, Fast Fourier transform, and Monte-Carlo Tree Search applied to Shogi. He was holding the world record for computing the largest number of digits of π from April 29, 2009 to December 31, 2009 1.
