Acornsoft Chess, (Chess)
a commercial chess program for the BBC Micro, Model B and Acorn Electron written by Arthur Norman and Nick Pelling in 6502 assembly 1, and released in 1982 and 1983 respectively by Acornsoft. Chess recognizes all legal chess moves, including castling, en passant, queening, and minor promotions. The program uses pure coordinates for game notation and entering moves, allows to manually set up positions 2, and it features 10 levels of play.
