power bypass for hub smart dimmer

Description
the hub smart dimmer is unusable (the bulbs are unscrewed) because of flickering from the load whenever it's on. it also gets REALLY hot. apparently the flickering (and possibly the heat) is because the dimmer itself is running out of power while running the LEDs considering its wired in a no-neutral configuration
inovelli sells a $20 (twenty dollar) box to fix it which can be bought here
