Woke up last night at 2:30am to a little tinny voice on repeat and then a siren noise. Initially I thought it was outside them I thought my wife was watching something on YouTube and eventually I went to look around the house for the source of the noise. Eventually I isolated the noise to our loft… Friends, climbing up into the pitch black loft at 2:30am to investigate a mysterious noise is not exactly a fun experience even for a scientifically-minded sceptic 👻 👻. It certainly raises my hackles and got my blood pumping. Eventually I found an R2-D2 themed bop-it toy in a storage crate. C3PO’s voice was cheerfully announcing it was time to sleep and then R2’s signature “whaaaoohh” screech on repeat forever. Somewhat corroded batteries safely removed all was well and we could return to sleep. It did take me an hour to calm down and by that time the baby was waking up for it’s next feed.
