About
Friends, enemies, Romans; lend me your bitstream.
For those who don’t know me, I’m just your average omnivorous nerd on the Internet for far too long, and currently living in Seattle, WA proper, though I moved here from Arlington, VA, and grew up in Austin, TX, thereby completing the triangle of destiny.
I have a huge number of hobbies—as a friend said, my hobby is collecting hobbies—and a passion for politics, social causes, and music.
Pronouns
I identify as non-binary (enby), and use he/she interchangeably.
Professional
Perhaps less interestingly, I lead an architecture team at a large financial company. This is a weird mix of technopolitical skills that I’ve honed over the last few decades.
I promise you, though, that nothing I write here, or anywhere else on the Intertubes, represents my employer. Heck, I barely represent myself most of the time.
Finding Me
It’s not hard to find me, just look. But if you’re wanting some pointers, then you can start with these:
- @petrillic@hachyderm.io on Mastodon
- petrilli on Codeberg
- petrilli on GitHub, though I am trying to get off that platform and move everything over to Codeberg.
@petrilli.01on Signal- petrilli (at) amber.org.
Please no spam, or even worse, sales messages. I promise, I keep a list of people who violate this rule. Yes, I have a LinkedIn account, but only out of duress.
Finally, if by some chance, you’re in the Seattle, WA area, you can certainly reach out for a coffee or other beverage during your time here.
About This Site
This site is (currently) built with Zola and uses a heavily tweaked version of the austere theme. Additionally, I do use site analytics from Fathom, which, as I wrote about here and is better documented on their website. It is deployed via Netlify because I’m tired of running infrastructure that sits on the public Internet any more.
