moving homes
updated: aug 5th, 2026
i moved all my sites to neocities
why?
it's time to take back control, support small business, and of course..
what sites moved?
the core protocol working group site, coreprotocol.org has migrated from gh pages. the salishmesh.net site has been cloned over to salishmesh.neocities.org but still lives at nearlyfreespeech until i get around to moving the domain away. but the salish deploy project is no longer a gh action
new site, who dis?

i decided to rewrite my website by hand, it sure is ugly ♥
but i love it
designing is hard
i am not a designer, color matching and contrast are way outside of my wheelhouse. that said, i feel like this is not bad. i like the aesthetic and am proud to say i thought of it all. there were no generators or llms used, not that llm use itself is so bad, but i wanted to be able to say i made it
what about the old site?
while that site was pretty slick and pretty, i didn't make it, it was all vibes. let's be honest for a moment as well, that falls under art and creativity, which means it was likely stolen. the llm got the ideas, the layout, probably even the code from somewhere. while that information might be publicly available on the internet, without knowing where it came from we can't even attempt to attribute the creator
what now?
the site now has a /friends page where i list the sites of friends across cyberspace
as you can see i have started up a weblog, we will see how long that lasts lol
you can find my favorite /links and major /projects. and as before any webrings i participate in are featured on the homepage. there is also an rss feed, handcrafted ofc, for the whole site as well as very soon one for each: projects, links and friends
we can take back the web, we can create our own content outside of the control of corpsecorp and investors. keep it weird
