The Parkour Cancún community invited us to collaborate on new speed runs in their city, so we had to make it happen! After an epic week of working with the locals, Cancún has officially entered the Apex Speed Run chat. The Parkour Cancún community is a welcoming, hard-working group, and they helped create an incredible parkour park in Parque Cancún!

Local standout Liam crushed the first 2 courses at Parque Cancún, almost keeping pace with top-rated ASR athlete Olof Wood. At 16 years old, Liam has won national competitions in México, and is also starting to compete internationally!
Sofía completed 3 of the 5 Cancún courses with us, even after a long day of travel and classes. She’s a determined, hard worker at only 11 years old, and we’re excited to see her progress over the next few years!
The longest of 113 ASR courses repurposes a FIG-style course with an ASR-style course design. Located in the immaculate Parque Cancún along the city outskirts, this course is seriously tiring AF! It will destroy your legs, drench you in sweat, and leave you gasping for hot, humid jungle air.
Located near the town center, Bohemio offers a simple but challenging course amongst authentic Cancún neighborhood vibes. Build up an appetite for some delicious tacos nearby, and then get back to work at Folk Speed Run, which is only a few blocks away.
After local athlete Liam Ponce ran an effortless 29.55 course record on his first try, Olof Wood was determined to take it back. On his fourth try, Olof finally smashed a beastly 28.66—his second time with the CR. To run this full course more than twice in 1 session is brutal. To set a new CR on your fourth full speed run of the longest ASR course is borderline masochistic 🥵

Parque Cancún, home to an epic parkour park and 3 ASR courses, has an incredible back story—once an old dump site, it’s now a thriving ecological park where movement and nature thrive side-by-side.
Top-rated ASR player & course setter Olof Wood joined us for a few days and nabbed 2 course records in between epic scooter missions to cenotes and Mayan ruins!
Despite dealing with an allergic reaction to a bee sting, Taylor was a champ and worked with the local girls, helping them build new skills and confidence.
