Your house, home to Your glory, O Eternal One, radiates its light. I am fixed on this place and long to be nowhere else.

Declare my innocence, O Eternal One! I have walked blamelessly down this path.

Psalm 26 begins with an impossible statement for any human other than Jesus Christ. Declare my innocence? I’m not innocent. I have not walked blamelessly down this path. This is not my history. But God.

And then, through the perfect sacrifice of Christ Jesus, I am innocent and blameless. I have perfect righteousness.

So, yes, O Eternal One! Declare my innocence in Christ Jesus. Through Your grace and mercy, by the blood of Jesus, my life is not wasted among liars or cheaters. I separate myself from evil intent or wicked ways.

Because of my faith in You, Lord, I wash my hands in the fountain of the innocent blood of Jesus. I join the gathering in Your presence and sing songs of thanksgiving. I proclaim Your wonder and mystery. Thank You, Lord, for loving me.

You are light, and it radiates from You, O Eternal One. Your glorious presence is where I long to stay. I am fixed on You. You grant me life and spare my soul even as Your wrath pursues those who oppose You.

I stand confident and secure before You, Lord, because of what You have done for me.

Thank You, Lord, for Your love and care.

Guess what? While I am writing the next Morro Book, I’m also preparing a surprise piece of content for you. It’s pretty daring and exciting, and I love doing it.

Verse of the Week and My Prayer for You

Psalm 26

Declare my innocence, O Eternal One! I have walked blamelessly down this path. I placed my trust in the Eternal and have yet to stumble. Put me on trial and examine me, O Eternal One! Search me through and through—from my deepest longings to every thought that crosses my mind. Your unfailing love is always before me; I have journeyed down Your path of truth.

My life is not wasted among liars; my days are not spent among cheaters. I despise every crowd intent on evil; I do not commune with the wicked.

I wash my hands in the fountain of innocence so that I might join the gathering that surrounds Your altar, O Eternal One. From my soul, I will join the songs of thanksgiving; I will sing and proclaim Your wonder and mystery.

Your house, home to Your glory, O Eternal One, radiates its light. I am fixed on this place and long to be nowhere else. When Your wrath pursues those who oppose You, those swift to sin and thirsty for blood, spare my soul and grant me life. These men hold deceit in their left hands, and in their right hands, bribery and lies.

But God, I have walked blamelessly down this path, and this is my plea for redemption. This is my cry for Your mercy. Here I stand secure and confident before all the people; I will praise the Eternal.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for my reader. Thank You for dying for her sins. Your blood washes her clean and makes her righteous before You. She stands innocent and blameless because she puts her trust in You.

Thank You, Lord, that Your unfailing love is always before her. How much You delight in her. Your joy shines so bright in her. She grows sweeter every day in Your presence. Your healing surrounds her, and hope abounds in her heart.

Lord, You are our Great and Mighty King. You fight for us every day. We trust in You. We rest in You, knowing You are faithful. Help us to be grateful and praise Your name, Almighty God. Be glorified through her. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I’m back to writing the next Morro Bay. Sinister characters are hidden among the tourists. Susie can see danger where the humans do not. It frustrates her that her normal strength is still lagging. She longs to protect her human from danger.
