About the author: John Lennox is better known as a mathematician and Christian apologist who has shared public platforms with Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens than as a biblical commentator, and Against the Flow (Lion Hudson, 2015) wears that background openly. It is not, and does not pretend to be, a technical exegetical commentary on the book of Daniel. It is something closer to an extended sermon series: a chapter-by-chapter walk through Daniel's twelve chapters, aimed squarely at practising Christians who already accept the book's authority and want help applying it to life in a secular, pluralistic culture.
