Hi guys,
I wanted to give you another quick update on I Know A Guy Rewards and where things are headed next.
First off, thank you again to everyone who has clicked through, tested the app, sent feedback, shared encouragement, or pointed out something that could be better.
That feedback has already helped make the app better.
Since the soft launch, we are now at 21 users on I Know A Guy Rewards.
That is exciting to me because this is still very early, and the whole point of this soft launch is to get real people into the app, see what works, fix what does not, and keep improving it.
But now I want to start giving this a bigger goal.
The next milestone is simple:
I want to help small businesses get to 1,000 referrals submitted through I Know A Guy Rewards as fast as we can.
Not 1,000 random leads.
Not 1,000 cold contacts.
1,000 real referral opportunities created through small businesses, customers, referral partners, networking groups, local connectors, and people who believe in helping each other grow.
That is the road to 1,000 referrals.
And I am going to start documenting that journey.
I also want to clear up the YouTube side of things because there are now two different channels with two different purposes.
The original YouTube channel has been rebranded to I Know A Guy Iowa.
That channel will be the home for the Iowa business interviews, local stories, and new episodes moving forward.
If you were already subscribed to the original channel, that is the one that is now focused on I Know A Guy Iowa.

I also started a separate channel called I Know A Guy.
That channel will be more of the education and behind-the-scenes side of things.
It will focus on referrals, relationships, networking, word-of-mouth, follow-up, and helping business owners grow through real connections.
It is also where I will be sharing the journey of building I Know A Guy Rewards and working toward 1,000 referrals submitted through the app.

The reason this matters to me is the same reason I built the app in the first place.
After interviewing more than 260 business owners, one thing kept showing up over and over again.
Almost every business owner wants more referrals.
But most are still relying on hope.
They hope past customers remember them.
They hope someone they met at a networking event thinks of them later.
They hope word-of-mouth happens on its own.
And honestly, I get it, because I have done the same thing in my own business.
Most people are not against giving referrals.
They just need a reminder, a reason, and an easy way to do it.
That is what I Know A Guy Rewards is meant to help with.
It gives businesses a simple way to create referral campaigns, track submitted referrals, and reward the people helping send opportunities their way.
And now that there are already 21 users in the app, I want to start building momentum toward the next goal.
1,000 referrals submitted.
That is what I will be talking about more over the coming weeks.

This is still early.
The app is still improving.
The content side is just getting started.
But the mission is the same as it has been from the beginning:
Help good people meet more good people.
Help small businesses grow through relationships.
And make the “I know a guy” mentality easier to actually put into action.
