There’s a phrase that landed deeply during our morning meditation circle:
“Although the intellect is easily fooled, the heart recognizes the truth.”
— Power vs. Force by Dr. David R. Hawkins
It’s one of those lines that feels simple… until you sit with it.
As we gathered — sleepy, sacred, burping from hydration and laughing about the weather — this quote became the soul of our session. A few community members shared reflections, including one that cracked something wide open:
“I followed my heart and suffered big time.”
Oof. Haven’t we all felt that?
And yet, what unfolded was a deeper remembrance. Sometimes, we think we’re following the heart, but it’s really the mind’s attachment in disguise. Other times, the suffering that follows a heart-led decision is part of a larger soul contract — a painful but necessary stretch. A sacred redirection. A clearing. A strengthening.
The truth is:
Your heart is wise beyond logic.
Your mind might protect you, but your heart guides you.
And even pain has purpose.
We sat in stillness after reading that card three times — each pass deepening our understanding.
So I offer this to you now, beloved reader:
Where have you mistaken temporary suffering for a wrong turn, when it might’ve been a sacred unfolding?
This is what we do each morning on the Insight Timer App
Not just sit in silence — we sit in truth.
With love bubbles, sleepy dogs, emojis, thunder, burps, and all.
Thank you for choosing presence. Thank you for choosing you.
See you in the stillness.
