If you’ve been following our renovation journey, you’ll know that like many, we ‘accidentally’ fell into a full-blown, stripped down to the studs and floor joists kinda DIY renovation (see image below). I know that might sound ridiculous (and hard to believe if you haven’t been there), but I also know it will hit home for those who have. We never expected it to go as far as it did and, inevitably, a few important things ended up feeling rushed, under-considered, or not properly nutted out so to speak, resulting in a house that isn’t as functional as it could have been. Especially when it came to design decisions. At the end of the day, we all make mistakes…here’s mine!
