Beloveds,
Oof. For my astro-buddies out there, you may know what I mean when I say I was counting down the actual minutes until Mercury went direct on Thursday.
This was hands down the most emotionally challenging (as in, let’s cry every day for weeks, shall we?) retrograde I can remember. I was crying for good reasons and for no reasons, it didn’t matter.
Life has felt very life-y lately. It helped to listen to my astro soul sister Emily’s Full Moon forecast to help me put even more into perspective. (You might wanna follow her on Substack if you don’t already.) It’s a freakin’ lot right now. And it’s going to be for a while as we’re coming right up on a Plutonian Full Moon and eclipse season as well. Buckle up, friends because we’re actually only getting started.
As the outer world dumpster fire continues to rage, we’re all feeling it - even me. This week, I had to come to the blazing awareness of how I’m moving through the world and where I’m giving my power away. I’ve had to get very honest with myself about how my choices are sucking my well dry.
You see, I’ve been trying to drink (aka receive energy and soul nourishment) from empty wells. I’ve been giving in ways that are out of balance in terms of energy exchange. And I’ve been fighting with reality in terms of hoping things could be different.
I temporarily forgot to turn to those wells which truly nourish: GOD (Great Out Doors), meditation, soul-aligned friendships, and my own rest and creativity.
This is one of the ways that we fight with reality. We give and give, hoping for reciprocity, denying the reality that we just might be giving in the very wrong ways, to the wrong people, or simply for the wrong reasons.
Then your well runs dry. You get sick, or resentful, or even hopeless. Will nothing ever change, you ask.
The change you seek is an inside job. It starts with awareness and radical honesty with yourself. Which leads to acceptance of what is. And as I speak about in the video below, perhaps the hardest part is surrender and having faith that there are processes larger than you at work. As the outer world dumpster fire rages, it’s making space for something else to emerge.
What that something is no one really knows. But your choice point, your point of personal power, is to be a force for love in this world.
The Full Moon this week will shine a very bright light for all of us to see where we’ve given our power away or where we need to withdraw consent from oppressive systems of power. Conjunct Pluto, this moon means business. And while this kind of radical self-honesty can be ouchy sometimes, Pluto always has your back. If out of balance, the invitation is to call your power back. Right freakin’ now.
So what do you think? Might Pluto have something potent to share with you this week? Do tell!
The Spirit notes in today’s episode:
Energy weather report: Leo season reminder, where are you giving your personal power away?
How I’ve been trying to drink from empty wells and the cost I paid for it
How to stop fighting with reality
What’s harder? Acceptance or surrender? (You tell me!)
For those who have ears to hear, you are being summoned into a higher order of love. It’s go time.
If you’re summoned to bring more love into this achey breaky world but know there are some obstacles to overcome, let’s talk. My spiritual counsel has been described as the mirror that lets you see yourself as love - even when you cannot see it for yourself. Which is exactly why we are not meant to do any of this alone.

Big Fiery Love,

P.S. keep loving, even as it burns
I found this tiny egg a few months ago on our evening walk. So delicate and fragile, it reminded me how amazing life is. Here we are, seemingly against all odds, alive. Living, breathing, loving, hurting, healing. And somewhere, a wee baby bird has hatched and learned to fly.
The outer world is likely going to feel rougher and rougher around the edges. It kinda does really feel like a dumpster fire. The reminder is that we can’t fight fire with fire. If you are called to love, please bring it forth. The world, including all the real and metaphorical baby birds, need you now. We fight this fire step by tiny step. One act of love at a time. No actual fighting required.
Thanks for reading The Love and Liberation Diaries! This post is public so feel free to share it.
