几个人
我当过几个人。
我的时间线仿佛被切成了几段,每个部分都住着不同的人。
在第一部分中,我是一个期待正常生活的人。
在第二部分中,我是一个不能生宝宝的人。
在第三部分中,我是一个被学生推过的老师的人。
在第四部分中,我是一个看到爸爸被打倒、双手双膝撑着的人。
在第五部分中,我是一个被打到头的人。
在这第六部分中,我是一个人。

Several People
I have been several people.
It’s as if my life’s timeline was cut into segments, a different person living in each part.
In the first, I was an expecting-to-live-a-normal-life person.
In the second, I was a can’t-have-a-baby person.
In the third, I was a teacher-pushed-by-a-student person.
In the fourth, I was a saw-father-felled-to-his-hands-and-knees person.
In the fifth, I was a having-gotten-hit-in-the-head person.
In this sixth, I am a person.

Microstories 微故事 are short works written at the intermediate level in two versions, one in Simplified Chinese characters and one in English. Microstories 微故事 are written by Anne 安妮 Giles and edited by 侯慧颖 Hóu Huìyǐng “Mary.”
Some words are repeated in the stories in hopes of offering language learners the 3 to 17 exposures (number of times a learner encounters a word in different contexts) that may be needed to learn a new word.
Microstories 微故事 may serve as short reading and discussion texts for busy adult language learners of Simplified Chinese Characters and/or English.
