NEW MM Romance & Cake

In fabulous news, I’ve finished the first draft of The Music of Flowers. So I’ll leave it for a while before thinking about tackling the edits. Fleur and I are pleased with the arc of the story but both agree there’s a lot to change - particularly the beginning. But I’m pleased this stage is over.

In the meantime, I’ve also written a new short story which was initially called A Game of Chance but is now renamed to be Bridging the Gap. It’s the first MM romance short story I’ve written for four years, and is a sequel to Brady’s Choice. It’s now available as a Kindle on Amazon & also as a paperback. I’ve received a lovely new 5-star Amazon review of uplifting friendship novel Three Perfect Gifts which is of course now also available in audio.

This week’s poem is The Promise of Spring, which is from A Fragile Map & Other Poems (now also available on audio). I do love planning for the start of the warmer weather so much.

This week, I’ve read Death in Ambush by Susan Gilruth: this is a well-written cosy murder mystery with a strong cast of characters. Liane, the main character, has a good line in subtle irony and there are some wonderful observations about village life. Recommended.

Plus I had a lovely catch-up over coffee & cake with a friend - the malted toffee cake was excellent.
