This week I’ve started writing another MM romance, which is called The Heart’s Deeper Voice. It’s the sequel to the very dark The Heart’s Greater Silence, and will tell the ongoing story of Craig, Mark’s ex-partner. It will be dark, yes, but also offer a lot more hope for Mark & Craig than the first story does. So that’s positive. Here’s the draft cover:

I’ve also prepared London thriller Maloney’s Law (my so-far only double prize-shortlisted novel, yay!) for audio - so basically that means having a read-through to make sure everything makes sense for voice production. It’s nice to get in touch with Paul Maloney again - he’s always been one of my favourite (and most stressed-out) characters. But he does have a good heart. It's been a pretty intense week, that's for sure, as it’s such a dark and twisty read and I honestly can’t understand how I managed to write it. I was a different person and a different author back then … Anyway, I’ve now uploaded it to the ACX system & the fabulous Bobby Wells-Brown will be narrating it.
