South West corner is complete!*

It’s been too long since I updated here with how the land of Anndale is progressing as we slowly build it all in Tiny Glade during my live streams on Tiktok and Twitch.

There will be more coming soon about the stories, characters very soon but I want to first update the map to the latest incarnation as we’ve spent the last month building out the south west corner with some hamlets and a walled town/village with tourist accommodation (yes, thanks to a recent update to the building capabilities in the game, we now have a campsite, plus some some slightly more luxurious small pods).

Building this small walled area has helped me change the building style as we move away from the village of Anndale and the more industrious town of Wills Port. This place is inspired by the town squares of Europe and some of the other houses inspired by the timber houses I identify with Viking times - a small frontage facing the street and a long building behind. I’ve also enjoyed building a few towers to help give some height variation.

So here it is, the latest version of the overall map. Soon we’ll working further west and also returning north to explore the land above Anndale itself!

One of the next challenges is to come up with appropriate names for some of these villages and hamlets outside of Anndale and Wills Port…
