I’m posting this two days early as I managed to get it done, so why wait!!!
What a week of heat! It’s almost like being on holiday, but without the good bits like sea breeze, cocktails and a pool to jump into.
The UK is definitely not built for this weather. Personally, I think we should all be allowed to shut up shop and hibernate until it’s at least 10 degrees cooler.
My husband and I escaped to the cinema on Wednesday afternoon purely for the air conditioning. It was so good I actually started to feel cold. I never thought I’d be grateful for goosebumps in June!
So with that in mind, this week’s Sunday List is all about two piece sets. You know the kind. They’re as easy to throw on as your favourite pyjamas. No outfit planning, no faffing, just effortless matching sets that make getting dressed in this heat so much easier.
Here are 14 of my favourites.
Zara white top, £19.99 and matching trousers, £22.99
Love the look of this set. For lounging around or a quick nip the shops. Simple and cool.
Toteme do the best silk pieces and their monogrammed sets are always a winner. Love the shorts wit this shirt combo.
Rue Les Créateurs jacquard top, £95 and skirt, £111.30
Such a cute little top and skirt. Perfect for more of a smarter soiree or day time lunch. Preferably somewhere with aircon!
Madewell stripe top £85 and shorts £85
Love a good stripe and this red top and shorts set is super cute for holiday or an icecream run.
Dissh are my favourite brand in the heat. I love this set. it’s so perfect for this weather. Something you’ll get out year after year.
COS cotton shorts, £45 and matching shirt £65
Crisp cotton in this heat is what you need. Love this little short and shirt set. Pretty but androgynous at the same time.
Posse asymmetric top, £263 and skirt, £347
How beautiful is this top and skirt set. The asymmetric design gives a fun element while the skirt length is perfection.
Zara embroidered top, £29.99 and trousers, £39.99
This set is selling out fast. It’s a beauty and looks so light and airy. Love it with black simple sandals and oversized sunnies as styled here.
Super cute satin set that is perfect for an evening out. So easy but oh so chic.
Zara white embroidered top, £45.99 and shorts, £45.99
Another Zara set that is just perfect. Cute details that make this the perfect set for summer dressing.
Posse blouse, £284 and matching shorts £231
I love this top and shorts co-ord. So simple. You can wear the top loose without the tie belt for a more relaxed feel.
Massimo Dutti blazer, £249 and matching shorts, £125
If you have to be a bit smarter for work, this blazer and shorts set would be great. The blazer is relaxed and light enough to work well and is so simple and chic.
Arket silk shirt £119 and matching trousers £119
I have this in navy and as it’s 100% silk, it works well in these temperature. Plus you feel as comfy as if you’re wearing pyjamas.
St Agni tie strapless top, £225 and wide leg trousers, £375
Very streamlined and chic, this strapless top and loose trousers work both together and as separates.
I hope you enjoyed today’s picks. Other than sitting in front of a fan wearing as little as possible, these light and breezy sets are probably the next best thing!
Stay cool, and I’ll see you next Sunday.
