Hey Substack friends,
How are you all doing?
First up, a little reminder that I’m hosting an intimate meet up next Saturday for my paid subscribers in central London, from 2pm to 4pm.
It’s going to be a lovely afternoon with a small group of like minded people coming together to chat, share stories and hopefully make some new connections over a coffee or two.
I’ve also got some gorgeous goodie bags to give away, with products from Trinny London, L’Occitane and Space Masks (so far). Honestly, it’s almost worth coming just for the goodies alone!
There are still a few spaces left and I’d love for you to join us. You can find the ticket link below.
Now onto this week...
It has been a week of medical appointments, which is definitely a sentence that makes me realise I’m in my 50s!
On Tuesday I had my breast screening appointment, followed by an ultrasound and a referral to gynaecology (oh the joys). Then today I saw an osteopath about my ongoing back problems, which have now extended into my coccyx and are causing so much pain I can barely sit down.
Honestly, what a bloody walking disaster I am. If it’s not one thing, it’s another!
But what’s keeping me going is my deep love for all things fashion.
I popped into Liberty this week and, unsurprisingly, came out with a few sale finds. I also treated myself to a new pair of ballet flats and some sunglasses.
My bank balance may not thank me, but it has definitely lifted my mood, so I’m counting that as a win.
Here’s what I bought (plus one thing I bought and had to reluctantly send back... because apparently I like making life difficult for myself).
Washed purple tee, £21.99
I’m loving this colour right now. It has such an earthy, understated feel but still brings a little bit of colour into your wardrobe. It’s a very oversized fit, so I went for an XS, and it’s the perfect lightweight layer. Really airy and easy to throw on, making it ideal as a summer cover up.
