Hey Indigoer,

I had one busy week accompanied by a very busy and fun weekend too. Plus, with the 90-degree temps and Amazon-like humidity, I was BEAT. Every night I was in bed by 9 after taking at least two showers that day, sometimes even three.

A few highlights from the past week: grabbing a last-minute ticket to Hilary Duff because the concert in ATL was a complete bust (could not see a damn thing), seeing a fall preview of Uniqlo and I can’t wait to share some of the pieces once things are live, and lastly visiting the Museum of New York City up in Harlem. We headed uptown to see the really impressive Joe Macken’s model, which is a massive 50 by 72 foot handmade scale replica of NYC.

I’m kind of excited to have nothing on my schedule this week. Just catching up on work and sticking to my daily routine of eating home-cooked meals, working out, and going to bed early.

It’s never too early to think about fall, and the Quince pre-fall collection has me kind of ready for it all.

A recipe I’ve been enjoying this week is a Greek orzo pasta salad. I’ve been making a rough version of this one, mostly just using my usual Greek salad recipe and adding orzo to it. It’s such a nice addition to some chicken thighs or an afternoon salty snack.

While in the Hamptons, we stopped into the A.L.C. store and I truly swooned over everything. This is a brand that is a smidge outside my price point, but the older and wiser I get, the more I remember that investing in fun quality pieces you’re really excited about means you’ll get a ton of wear out of them. Just like my GANNI leopard dress I had to have. I fell in love with this top you can dress up or down, this cool asymmetrical dress or even this one, and these neon green shorts. Plus, this red set is really fun.

While in Jackson Hole, our hotel had a little hot tea set up at night, and we finished each of our long days with a hot cup of tea. We’re a hot tea kind of family and I’ve been enjoying a cup at the end of the day on the couch. The Fellow tea kettle is my new favorite kitchen appliance. Heats up fast, stays hot for a selected period of time and doesn’t take up too much space. I’m also debating their coffee maker. I use a Breville espresso maker to make Americanos, but honestly, I rarely deal with it. Something about a simple drip coffee sounds so much easier.

I’ve been mostly focused on lifting while at the gym these days. Between the TRIM Bootcamp workouts I’ve always done, and now using the Ladder app (yes, I was influenced by Hilary Duff and LOVING the app), I really should be in a training shoe, and not a running shoe at the gym. It’s better for stability if you’re lifting heavy. I’m trying these Reeboks that I think are pretty cute.
