Angie Craig's One Tough Mother Substack · Angie Craig's One Tough Mother Substack

Last year, I launched my campaign to represent Minnesota in the United States Senate.

Now, we’re officially in the last leg of our race with just 10 days left until my Primary Election Day, and I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the hard fought journey to get here and remind folks of what it is we are fighting for.

I wouldn’t have made it this far without my amazing campaign team that’s been with me every step of the way. They’ve built incredible volunteer teams in every county of Minnesota, knocked on thousands of doors with me and stayed up way past everyone’s bedtime so that Minnesotan families will have a fighting chance at beating MAGA extremist Michele Tafoya this November.

I’m humbled by all of the Minnesotans who believe in me and have given their time and energy to help me get elected. Their trust in me is what fuels my fight every single day.

Our grassroots movement is stronger than it has ever been, and that’s all thanks to you.

In April of last year, I announced my campaign for this wide-open Senate seat because I knew that Minnesotans deserved a fighter.

We deserve someone who will keep this seat blue and keep the political corruption — and MAGA extremism running amok in Trump’s administration — out of our state.

Prices are too high.

Health care is out of reach.

And the wealthy keep raking in tax breaks — at our expense.

Trump’s spineless, MAGA-controlled Senate has done nothing to protect our freedoms and help rein in the sky high prices caused by Trump’s reckless MAGA policies both at home and abroad. Instead of working on behalf of American families, they’ve been his doormat. Taking back the Senate majority is the only way for Democrats to get our country back on track.

Then our community was tested by an unimaginable tragedy at the hands of Trump’s ICE and Kristi Noem’s incompetence.

Trump deployed violent untrained ICE agents who terrorized our communities. Minnesotans fought back.

Together, we were able to get the thousands of troops deployed in Minneapolis out of the city. When I was turned away from one of the ICE facilities in our area, I didn’t give up. I kept showing up until they let me in.

I’ll ALWAYS stand up for Minnesota’s vibrant and hardworking immigrant communities. We peacefully protested. We organized our friends and family. And we did it while being scrutinized by folks like Michele Tafoya who accused people on the frontlines of being “paid” to be there.

I have never been more proud to be a Minnesotan because the world got to see what courage and bravery looks like. They got to see why I’ve been fighting so hard to represent Minnesota in the U.S. Senate. It’s the people who make this one of the best places to live.

And now, I’m hoping to be the person Minnesota picks to go up against MAGA’s top pick, Michele Tafoya.

We’re 10 days out from Primary Election Day, and I’m still on the ground like it’s day one. I’m still connecting with voters and earning major endorsements from people like Mayor Jacob Frey and First Lady of Minnesota Gwen Walz.

Experts say this race is statistically TIED. On top of that, 16% of voters are still undecided. We have just 10 days before final ballots are cast, and I still need your unwavering support.

The future of our Democratic majority is at stake this election. The future of our state — tackling affordability, expanding health care access, investing in education — it’s all on the line. If we nominate a Democrat who doesn’t have what it takes to defeat MAGA Michele Tafoya, we risk having none of those things improve.

The outcome of this Senate race will come down to every decision we make between now and the handful of days we have left. I’m still working to reach EVERY voter before the final ballots are sealed, which is why our fundraising goals still matter.

We can’t afford to fall short this late in the game with the stakes so high.

So, I have to ask, if it makes sense for you, will you please chip in $5 or more right now to help carry us to the finish line and deliver for all Minnesotans?

We’re so close,

Angie C.
