The Invisible Energies That Undo Us

There’s a particular kind of unraveling that doesn’t begin with betrayal or cruelty. Sometimes it starts quietly: a shift in tone, a mood you can’t name, a look you can’t read. One minute you’re talking about what to make for dinner, and the next, you’re wondering how everything suddenly feels so far away.

And then, there are times when it isn’t quiet at all.

Sometimes, it arrives like a storm on a sunny day…sharp, sudden, and completely out of place. One minute you’re laughing over coffee, and the next, you’re being accused, shut out, or pulled into an emotional spiral so intense you lose track of what you were even fighting about. It makes no sense…the shift feels too big, too fast, too foreign to be coming from the people in the room.

You search for reasons: you tell yourself they’re stressed with work or that maybe you’re too sensitive. Maybe Mercury is retrograde again or maybe you’re just tired.

But deep down, your body is whispering what your mind has been trained to dismiss: something is off.

And not in the usual “we need to talk more” kind of way—but in the something else is in the room kind of way.

This week on Unveiled, I’m pulling back the curtain on what I believe is one of the most overlooked influences in our relationships: energetic interference.

The kind that doesn’t show up in traditional therapy sessions or communication books, but makes itself known in the way your partner suddenly turns cold, reactive, or irrational. The kind that mimics emotional disconnection but carries a frequency you can feel in your bones.

Over the course of just one week, I worked with seven women - each in different phases of partnership, each deeply grounded, intuitive, and emotionally self-aware. None of them were numbing out or avoiding their growth. They weren’t using substances or bypassing red flags. These were conscious women doing the work. And yet each one found themselves at the center of a relational storm that made no rational sense.

“We’ve been together for ten years and rarely fight… it was World War III this weekend.”
“He’s furious with me and won’t even say why. I genuinely don’t know what I did.”
“I’ve tried everything. I’ve regulated, journaled, reflected - and I’m still the villain.”

None of them initially suspected energetic interference.
But that’s the thing about dark energy: it doesn’t need your belief to be effective. It only needs an opening.

Here’s what most people don’t realize: when one person in a relationship is engaging in frequent substance use - whether alcohol, marijuana, or anything else that lowers consciousness - it often creates that opening. An energetic doorway, subtle but significant, through which influence can enter and begin to distort the field of the relationship.

That’s not to say everyone who drinks is carrying dark energy. But when substance use is chronic, unconscious, or rooted in avoidance, it often opens the door.

The women I spoke with weren’t drinking.
But in some cases, their partners were.

In other cases, there was no substance use at all - just a sudden shift in tone, rising emotional volatility, and a confusion that felt disproportionate to the moment.

These aren’t signs of poor communication or emotional immaturity: they’re symptoms of energetic interference. And once you begin to recognize that, the entire framework through which we view love, conflict, and repair begins to shift.

Because when you can see what’s truly at play - not just between two people, but within the field they’re sharing - you’re no longer trying to fix what’s broken. You’re clearing what doesn’t belong.

In each of these cases, I was able to look in, identify the energetic presence creating distortion, and gently remove it. And the result? The tension dissolved. The emotional walls fell. The love they remembered…the one that had felt unreachable just days before, returned.

In this episode, I walk you through how to recognize when something else might be operating in your relationship. I share how energetic cords form and begin to loop emotional pain between two people…keeping them stuck in pain.

Because this isn’t about fear…it’s about sovereignty.
It’s about knowing when the exhaustion isn’t yours.
It’s about remembering how to listen to your nervous system, not as a source of overwhelm, but as a divine instrument of truth.

Yes, the focus here is romantic partnership. But I’ve seen this same energetic entanglement play out in friendships, family systems, and co-parenting dynamics. Anywhere there is emotional access, there is energetic vulnerability. And when we don’t know how to discern what’s ours from what isn’t, we carry things we were never meant to hold.

Your relationship wasn’t meant to be a place where you constantly question yourself.

It was meant to be a reflection of your evolution - a sacred, living mirror of your becoming.

Not everything that unravels you belongs to you.
But you do have the choice to reclaim your light.

xoxo,

Angela
