We Walk Through Fire For Each other

If you are a coach, healer, or mentor, like me, building an ecosystem around your values, instincts, and teachings, it can feel like you are walking up a mountain on tiptoes sometimes. But I was reminded of this yesterday, and I wanted to share it here on Substack, as I know many of us in this space are doing similar work.

Here’s the thing. Sometimes, we don’t have to do anything to fulfil our purpose.

Life gives us moments. Moments where we are placed right beside someone who’s hurting in the same way we once did.

And without even trying, we see them. We know them. We are them.

We don’t chase these people. We don’t hunt them down to rescue them, fix them, or beg them to see our light.

No.

The universe hands them to us. Just like that. And they are in ‘the thing’ you once went through. And you get to be the voice they need. The steady ground. The echo of their own strength, reflected back to them.

Beautiful right?

Some of us may only get to do that once. Some of us may.

It will happen to you. And not because you branded, marketed and monetised it.

It will happen because we lived it. And we live it to teach others.

We owe it to each other to go through shit when it hurts most. When it terrifies us. When every cell in our body is screaming, run. That’s the sacred bit. Because if we don’t, it chases us. It finds us while we are scrolling, when we are drinking too much, at work…when we pretend.

You can’t outrun your becoming. The things that break you open are the very things that make you ready. In that moment, the universe needs you to show up. And when that moment comes, you will be ready.

And no, you don’t have to build a business around it. You don’t have to call yourself a coach. You don’t have to do a TED Talk.

Unless you want to. Then sure, do it. Own it. Shine with it. If that is your calling.

But just know, you could also work in the corner shop. You could take the easy job, the simple life, the peaceful road. And still, you will help people because the universe will give them to you right when they need you.

And you will know what to do.

Because you’ve already walked through fire.
