I am back from the hidden corners of Europe where I enjoyed low-key luxury, which is actually a simple, tactile, local and real experiences that require effort and delayed gratification. Basically, how people used to live before social media and Bernard Arnault ruined everything. On that note, travel is definitely not cool anymore so find another aspiration or a destination that no one goes and is hard to get to. Earlier this summer, and for the first time in two years, Burberry reported operating profit of 115 million pounds. Revenues were flat, but this is good news despite the share price drop (which was tied to the vague annual forecast). The operating profit growth marks Burberry’s recovery from the 3 million pounds losses from the previous year.
