Andi Leeman · The World According To...

It’s been a while since I shared anything here.

It’s been around two weeks since I published my last newsletter.

That’s not good, but I have my reasons.

The biggest reason is the constant inner battle of trying to figure out where my place is with what is going on online and where the new AI era is taking us.

As you know, I believe the future of making money online is going to be real people talking about real OFFLINE subjects and industries.

Information publishing is pretty much going to be locked down by AI.

Only this week I read that Google is now choosing to focus more on their AI search results and stop sending people to other people’s websites.

I imagine that the only way websites will get a place on the 1st page of any search results is if they pay Google.

The days of free traffic are pretty much dead and buried.

Some people are suggesting that if you are a website owner you must now optimise your website for AI tools so that they can list you as a source of their content…

…but personally, I imagine that will soon come to a stop once the AI tools have learned all they need to learn and their owners decide it’s time for them to dominate the flow of free information.

I see some website owners are talking about protecting their pages to prevent AI tools trawling through their content.

They are locking it away so that ChatGPT, Claude, and others cannot simply read it and deliver it to their users for free.

Is it theft?

Technically no, not if it is reworded.

If they used the whole text as it appears on the website then it would be plagiarism.

But if they give you the information in their own words it’s like having a friend tell you what they learned the day before reading an article in the newspaper.

I think the proper term is content curation.

The online world is changing and it is for that reason that I believe that for most people… the future of making money online is to focus offline.

It’s also possible that a lot of people will not be able to make money online and will now have to turn to more traditional real-world offline methods of making money.

And that is why I am rebranding The World According To… to What Really Makes Money.

The new rebranded newsletter is going to look at many different ways for people to make money offline as well as online.

I won’t be sharing any ‘Make $1 Million Per Month Selling Crypto’ nonsense, or ‘How I Made $10,000 With One Email I Wrote In My Sleep’ - although if I hear of any genuine cases where someone has done that I shall report it.

No, I want to share real-world methods which have been proven over time to make money for ordinary everyday people.

You see, when it comes to making money, there is no one size fits all, hence why we are not all email marketers, affiliate marketers, or Instagram influencers.

People have different needs, drives, and skill levels.

As much as I believe that most people can learn most skills, some people cannot (nature can be a bitch to some) or do not wish to.

Where one person chooses to spend their evenings creating digital products which may not earn an income for several months but could then earn them a decent passive income later…

….another may prefer to simply pick up a sponge or a brush and get paid at the end of each day for doing an honest graft.

No two people are the same, and with AI putting a lot of creative people out of work and killing off online digital businesses (like my good friend Kam’s PLR business), a lot of people may need to start looking for alternative ‘offline’ ways to earn an income.

So, from this day forward the newsletter will now be known as:

Not only that, my Skool community has been rebranded to match.

The two now go hand-in-hand.

The community is free to join.

There is a premium version which gives members access to my in-depth courses and training.

Anyone who subscribes to my Substack will automatically be given access to the premium version of my community.

The What Really Makes Money community will be mostly video content, whereas my Substack will be a text based newsletter.

What excites me about this rebrand is that I can also share interesting stories about new technologies and product innovations such as coffee grinds being turned into glasses frames, and building insulation being made from mycelium and soil.

As much as I love the online world, there are still a lot of great offline business models, ideas, and innovations to talk about.

I hope you stick with me on this journey and that you enjoy what I share in my forthcoming newsletters.

Until next time.

Have a great day.

Andi
