You're Looking For Confidence In All The Wrong Places

I started a blog called Fatshion Insider in 2011. Fat girls on the internet sharing outfits was a small but might group and many of us where using blog names that played off the word “fat”. The name Fatshion Insider came from being inside the industry but feeling alone. Alone inside of the fashion industry at a time when I saw very few people who looked like me in the spaces I was afforded entry.

Working in PR since my early 20’s felt very one of one but, along came the blogging era and I finally got to see other stylish, talented fat women creating and flourishing. Fatshion Insider became And I Get Dressed and that lead to a decade long fashion influencer career including a Vogue feature and opportunities beyond my wildest dreams.
