Things To Wear When You Want To Look Great With Little Effort

There are dress people and jeans people. I’m a dress people - although I have been wearing more denim now that in a decade due to my favorite jeans of all time but I digress. I’m a dress people.

One thing I hear people say often when it comes to wearing a dress is “oh, I don’t feel like putting on a dress” or “I don’t feel like being that dressed up” and I never understood it. A dress, the right dress is so effortless. You look incredible but mostly slipping one easy item over head. Boom. Done. It’s honestly no more challenging than pulling on a pair of jeans, finding a top, accessorizing etc.

Here are 3 easy dresses that look incredible but somehow feel really easy.

This gray is so chic. It reminds me of Charlotte York in the best way. I can see it as I styled it above obviously, but also with a simple pair of loafers. I think it also can be triple duty - dressed up with heels or with a minimal black leather flip flop and fun bag for weekend.

Finding occasion wear in plus is a hellish experience as most of us are all too familiar with. This is a “dressier” dress and I love this styling for a wedding guest look but I can also imagine a high impact color sandal for other dressed up day events and it’s so cleary wearable for evening.

This was an instant add to cart! Stretch tank style top, flouncy skirt - pairs perfectly with a sneaker. Immediately yes. I love how it can play into any character arch I might fall into.

I’m going to be doing more deep dives into summer style soon as well. Since moving to Palm Springs, probably since moving to LA if I’m going to be honest - I feel so disconnected from the level of intention and thought that used to fuel me when getting dressed. I have to figure out how to look like me, getting dressed in daily 100 heat.
