I feel like we authors always say versions of I had so much fun writing this book!, but…I actually did? I wrote it at a breakneck speed, beginning just after Thanksgiving 2025 (when I finally got the green light a year+ after I’d pitched the idea…) and finishing it in the first few days of 2026.

And I had some fugue-state writing days, including one where I banged out 10,000 words between sun-up and bedtime. (My hands were literally sore the next day.) This book is funny and weird and twisty and mind-bending, and it genuinely was a blast to write.

Oh, and I must add: Sarah is not dreaming and/or losing her mind. There is a reason for everything…I just had to figure it out!

I’ll share a cover reveal later this fall, and I’ll of course keep you posted on the unvarnished ins and outs of bringing this book into the world. Writing it was beyond cathartic, and I’m so excited for all the discussions it’ll spark!
