Thoughts, Reflections, and Gratitude

Letting go can be hard to do.

Reflections past and future

Fifteen Months in Portugal. Lately I have found myself doing some deep thinking and reflecting on my past while I am adjusting to my new life.

Thoughts on my first year of being an immigrant

The often requested, and the often promised, is finally here.

We've been here nearly a year... No regrets... None!

And the clusterfuckery is exactly as we anticipated, but life in Porto is good.

We shipped our household goods across the Atlantic. How one company made our move easier...

And the anticipated empty apartment tour too

Our stuff is coming! And there is much to be thankful for.

Ignorance Trumps Logic... Americans show their true colors.

Observations of newly landed immigrant from the United States.

Temporary residency update, along with a timeline of how we got here.

Let the postponed rejoicing begin...

And so begins a new volume of life...

One step closer to the finish line...

Note to self... Pay Attention to the Details!

And absolutely zero interest in going back.

And it just feels right... A new life begins in Porto, Portugal.
