With Earth Day coming up, here’s a simple question you can try with your kids to get them thinking about the world around them; it led to some pretty fun answers over here.
If you could create your own planet, what would it look like, and what would live there?
Hannah (8): “It would be called Pinky Planet. Everything would be miniature, and Pinky [her stuff bunny] would be alive.”
Mary (4): “It would be green, and yellow, and blue. Astronauts [would live on it].”
Have your child design their own planet.
They can:
Draw or paint what it looks like
Name their planet
Decide what lives there
And how they take care of it
It’s a simple way to connect imagination with Earth Day and get kids thinking about the world in their own way.
