Hi friends,
Happy New Year! I hope you’re heading into 2026 feeling refreshed and maybe already knee-deep in a good book or two.
I wanted to kick off the new year by sharing something I’ve been working on all of last year!
After reading, reviewing, and recommending a whole lot of children’s books this past year (185), I’ve officially updated the Mom’s Best Reads Award winners on my website.
The award goes out to the top 10 books, with a special shoutout to this year’s Top 3 Mom’s Best Reads winners:
• Two Little Raindrops
• Mungo and the Grumpy Frogs
• Panda is Missing

If you’re a parent, teacher, or librarian looking for books that are truly worth your time, this list is a great place to start.
I also want to give you a heads-up about something BIG coming up soon.
Our next Stuff Your Kindle event is right around the corner, and we already have over 132 children’s books confirmed. Yes, I did count this entire stack of books to make sure it was exactly 132 : )
The event includes:
• Picture books
• Chapter books
• Books for early readers and older kids
Every one of them will be free for ONE DAY ONLY! February 12, 2026.
So mark your calendars, or if you are on Facebook join this event, so you get notified: Stuff Your Kindle Kids Event
I also wanted to share something new we added after a few people reached out and asked if there was a way to support Kids Ask Authors Answer.
We’ve added a Donate option for anyone who would like to help us continue spreading the love of reading for kids.
Any funds raised will go directly toward things like:
• Purchasing authors’ books for participating schools and libraries
• Running book giveaways for families and classrooms
• Running ads so more kids can discover books and authors
• Sponsoring authors to come on the show
We’re also very open to ideas and suggestions as this grows. There’s absolutely no pressure at all, and we’re incredibly grateful for any support.
Why did the book start the new year confident?
It already had a good spine.
Thank you, as always, for being part of this community, and I’m hoping you all have a great 2026!
Wishing you a week filled with good books, sweet treats, and lots of laughter!
Amy
P.S. If you know someone who loves free books, giveaways, or kids’ reading resources, please forward this email to them. I’d love to spread the joy of reading even more :)
