Another Giveaway?

Another Giveaway? Yep. And Here’s Why.

Summer may be winding down, but I know many teachers and homeschool families are already gearing up for a new school year, and I know I just hosted a giveaway.

But as I started seeing teachers post about classroom wishlists and buying supplies out of their own pockets, I wanted to do a little something to help.

So, I’m hosting another giveaway!

Clear the Teachers’ Wishlist Giveaway

I’ve teamed up with 10 children’s book authors to help provide classroom supplies for teachers and homeschool families.

We’ll be giving away $250 to help clear items from 6 teachers’ wishlists (note: winner must provide wishlist to have items bought from it):

🏆 1 winner will receive $100

🥈 1 winner will receive $50

📚 4 winners will receive $25 each

If you’re a classroom teacher, homeschool parent, librarian, or other educator, you’re welcome to enter.

To enter, simply visit the giveaway link here.

Please share it with your favorite teachers too. The more educators we can reach, the better.

Kids Ask Authors Answer: Judy McGee Joins Us This Thursday

Our next Kids Ask Authors Answer episode is coming up this Thursday, and we’ll be welcoming Judy McGee, author of Pennygirl’s Rescue.

If you haven’t watched the read-aloud yet, now is the perfect time.

Pennygirl’s Rescue follows a brave rescue dog searching for her forever home and opens the door to wonderful conversations about kindness and second chances.

After watching, have your kids send in their questions for Judy! One of my favorite parts of this series is hearing what children are curious about.

You can reply directly to this email with your child’s question, and we’ll do our best to include it during the interview (make sure to include their name and age).

Books Into Hands Update: 100+ Books Donated!

I have some exciting news to share about our Kids Ask Authors Answer Books Into Hands Initiative.

We launched this project with a simple goal, which was to help get more books into schools and libraries.

Thanks to the generosity of children’s book authors, we have now received more than 100 donated books for the program!

Even better, we’ve officially started mailing books out to teachers and librarians.

It’s been incredibly rewarding to see books moving from authors’ hands into classrooms, school libraries, and the hands of young readers.

Thank you to every author who has donated a book, every educator who has requested one, and everyone who has helped spread the word. This project is still growing, and I’m excited to see how many children we can reach together.

If you’d like to recommend a school or library that could benefit from free books, fill out a short form on our website.

Joke of the Week

Why did the teacher wear sunglasses to school?

Because her students were so bright!
