Y’all - it’s been a hectic few weeks where every single spinning plate I was balancing fell down and I’m playing mad-scramble-catch-up. If you’ve sent me an email or a message or have shared reviews or any promo for me on social media, I apologise in advance if I haven’t responded as most everything has fallen through the cracks.
Everyone knows from last newsletter that my daughter and grandbaby left and they are safe and well, if a little colder, back in Ireland. See 🥰 Frickin’ cute or what??🍀
At the same time we were saying those goodbyes, my elderly father was going downhill and there was a lot of stuff going on with him as he deteriorated. We sat vigil at his bedside for those last 2 days as he slowly left us. He was 85 and suffering from dementia so I’m not sad that’s he’s gone - it’s a blessing in so many ways.
It was just a lot, ya know?
Amidst all that I was still doing promo for Engaged, Apparently, 2 other revamped back-list medical romance books released and then, a few days after my father passed, I was on a plane to a weekend of planned author events that yes, I could have cancelled but I can’t explain to you how much I needed them.
Needed to hang out in this lovely bookish community I have around me with book people that have big ‘ol hearts in their eyes. It was fun and well-filling and just the distraction I needed.
Oh, and on top of that I won some awards which was such a thrill.
But none of the fun stuff has been on any of my socials, because well, my brain was too fried TBH plus I felt it would be disrespectful to my dad to be seen celebrating my successes or hawking books so soon after his death. TBH, my dad was the most laid-back, easy-going guy who wouldn’t have given 2 hoots but still, it didn’t feel right.
So, a lot of that social media part of being an author has fallen through the cracks. I’ll be getting to it over the course of the weekend and the next week but yeah…like I said, apologies if I’ve not got back to you - I will, I promise!
In the meantime, please enjoy some pics of my fun bookish times from the past two weekends - Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth!
ARRA book signing in Brisbane
Adelaide and Perth events x 2
ARRA awards for -

And here’s a pic of baby Irish 🍀and my father who he got to meet only a couple of weeks before he passed. Dad loved babies and even though his cognition was not such that he really understood this was his first great grandchild, his face lit up at the sight of him.
My dad has always been photogenic AF! 💔
Okay…now I’m done with the sad bit….who needs a wildly romantic, spicy slow-burn, opposites-attract, cowboy romance? I mean…I sure as hell do right now 🤠 Last newsletter you got the blurb. This newsletter you get the cover which is so dang awesome!! When I tell you this was nothing like what I wanted but absolutely everything I didn’t know I needed, I am not kidding.
IT IS ALL THE THINGS!!
Also - because you guys are my peeps, I’m giving you a link to read the first 2 chapters! Enjoy 🤠 And please consider pre-ordering at the link at the download page if you love them as much as I hope you’re going to! Preorders really help authors and every preorder is truly appreciated x
Ima going to leave this newsletter here for now.
BUT, I’ll be back at the end of the month, with yet another release!! Yes, I know, this first few months have been packed with books! But, that’s a good thing, right? I have several more releasing over the course of the year, too. 2026 is crazy awesome, y’all!
So, watch this space 🥰
Big Love,
Amy xxx
