G’day lovelies and welcome to 2026 which has started swimmingly with a new book, a new website and….drumroll - a new baby!!!
Baby Irish was born on the 18th of Jan - 8 days late! - and, clearly being in no hurry to come earthside, he arrived pretty damn chill and laid back. I was there to see him come into the world and my daughter did such an ah-mazing job. More than that, with them not returning to Ireland and staying with us until mid-March, we are getting so much baby time and totally lapping it up!
I sometimes even let his grandad have a cuddle. Sometimes ☺️
To add to the January goodness, a few days ago my much awaited rom-com Engaged, Apparently released and the love has been so overwhelming, I don’t even know where to start. But how about this great vid that the good folks at Harper Collins crafted as part of the promo.
How freaking cuuute is that?
And then there are the reviews! Gosh, they’ve been so fantastically humbling!
“If you love a heartwarming romcom that goes a little deeper, slow burn tension, side characters that will make you laugh, small town charm, you will love this!” Kiki.andhershelf - Goodreads.
“Engaged, Apparently made me laugh, it made me cry and was the breath of bookish fresh air I didn’t know I needed. There was so much to love about it.” Emily - Goodreads
“Oh my! Loved this!
Engaged, Apparently was not only hilariously fun in parts but was also emotionally beautiful at other times.” Lyn Brownlie, Goodreads.
“I absolutely LOVED this book! Omgoodness Amy Andrews, I need to read the rest of your books!” Julia S - Goodreads
“This is a laugh out loud book that makes you want to quickly book at trip to Ballyshannon and take up coaching Gaelic football It is so charming - every character is a definite treat to meet. There is absolutely nothing about this book that isn't to like - it is full of heart.” Narelle Richards - Goodreads.
And they go on and on and on! Check them all out HERE! As well as this one from the lovely Holly Brunnbauer!
I’m truly, truly gobsmacked and delighted. Thank you to everyone who has already picked up a copy and/or left a review! You guys rock 🥰
If you haven’t picked it up yet, why not grab it today at the link below or if you’re in Australia, at all good bookshops! And if you do see the paperback out in the wild at a bookshop, I’d love for you to post a photo to your social media and tag me in it and I’ll share on my stories because there’s nothing like the thrill of seeing your book on an actual shelf!
Last piece of great January news was the revamp of my website which was desperately, direly in need of a good freshen up and I love it with my whole heart!
Check it out at the button to gaze in awe at his gorgeousness!
It was done by the fabulous Virtually Annie and I cannot recommend her highly enough if you’re looking for a website - new or redesign! I wanted to really simplify the whole site and not overwhelm visitors by trying to cram in every one of my 90 backlist titles and I think she did a wonderful job balancing it all out.
BUT the great news is Annie has also included a downloadable/printable booklist with links to all my backlist titles which you can browse to your hearts content. Its largely chronological and by publisher with linked books or books in a series noted. Seriously, its a goddamn work of art.
Another thing you can check out is my list of events this year. Sorry, they’re all Oz based (so far) starting with the stack I have going on in February as well as March and August dates. So why not check that out in case I’m in your neighbourhood soon?
Aaaand that’s it for today. I’ll be back in a couple of weeks but until then I wish you good friends, good vibes and good books!
Love Amy xxx
PS - baby Irish says bye bye too ☘️☘️☘️
