Things have been going great over at Embryo corp. We are on the verge of implanting our first gene edited horse embryos after being the first team in the world to directly gene edit them late last year. We have horses and a ranch and things are really moving along.

But there is a problem. While a few million human genomes are publicly available to analyze and near 100M have been sequenced, there are only maybe a few hundred horse genomes publicly available and in some breeds like quarter horses there are like 5. Its probably more like 3 tbh. The largest horse breed by count in the world has maybe 5 genomes available and maybe only slightly more sequenced privately.

This is where we need your help. To do genetics and gene editing with horses we need to DNA to analyze. If you have a horse or horses we are offering a first of its kind product. Horse full-DNA genome sequencing and analysis.

For a limited time for $299, which is below cost for us, you get a run down or your horses genetics related to performance, health, injury resistance, behavior and more. You will also get access to your variant/mutation files if you want to do your own analyses.

And you support unicorn research and I mean, general horse research and understanding also. Turn around time is about 2-4 weeks but we can do faster if needed. If you have a really special horse and can’t afford to pay or you are interested in bulk sequencing or run a farm or breeding operation reach out to me at josie@building.life
