It seems cruel to discuss the reversal of Alzheimer’s. So many people have suffered at the hands of this disease, and many others have lost dear friends and family.
Perhaps the hopelessness and ineffectiveness of most of traditional medications has motivated some to explore other ways to address dementia. Research does seem to indicate that this is a multimodal disease caused by many factors, not just one.
Additionally, I do think that we need to look at causes not just symptoms in healthcare approaches overall. And this includes Alzheimer’s.
If you are at high risk for Alzheimer’s, the protocol in this book offers some approaches for reducing that risk and minimizing cognitive decline. Based on research from multiple studies and a clinical practice, this author has put together a do-able (but perhaps not easy) set of protocols for preventing and or reversing mild cognitive decline.
We are following many of these recommendations and have seen a slowdown in Dave’s very aggressive version of Alzheimer’s. While I am not sure that we will see reversal, I am hopeful that we will at least slow down the disease and improve Dave’s day to day life. Dave definitely feels better when we follow the recommended practices. It’s just not easy to do.
If you have a family risk of dementia, or if you have mild cognitive impairment, this could be helpful to you.
